Super Sparkly Nails

wow, I am sincerely sorry for my absents from this blog and instead of shoving excuses in your faces I have decided I will create this blog post for ya'll.
OKAY since glitter and all things sparkly looks immaculate on everyone, I beg you, who ever reading this to give glittery nails a go. Im sure many of you have seen glitter nail polishes in chemists and things but the ones I have tried fail to come close to the expectations I have for a glittery polish. So here I am to show you step by step to create sparkly nails.

STEP 1.
pick a base colour that will match the colour your of loose glitter.

STEP 2. paint on the base colour. 1 coat should be fine

STEP 3. When the base coat is still wet pour on the glitter ( be generous )

STEP 4. Tap off the excess glitter and give it 8-10 mins for the base to be fully dry.

STEP 5.  If you have a glittery nail polish that will compliment your nails, Apply it! the more glitter the better!

STEP 6. Finish with your favourite top coat and leave to fully dry!

TAADAA!

This is a perfect polish to welcome in the new year or other exciting celebrations or even if your just potting around the house!
Hope you enjoyed xx

Empties #1

I always find empty product posts or videos helpful and insightful since you know the user has actually used the product therefore their comment or review on it is legit and truthful.

Since all of a sudden I have accumulated all these empty products I thought it'd be fair to do an empties blog post.

First up is the TRESemmé Heat Protective Spray, I found this product to work well and effectively. Also the smell of this product is subtile but pleasant. It distributes a good spritz in each spray and of course works well with preventing split ends.

Next up is a exfoliating body scrub by Nutrimetics.
I thoroughly enjoyed this product to say the least. I loved the smell and what it did for my skin. It had teeny tiny grains of an exfoliant of some sort which scrubbed of the dead skin cells and revealed a layer of soft, smooth skin.

The Maybelline Express Care Makeup Remover is a generally decent product. It does the job at a fair price tag. I found this product to last me quite a while (for a 90mL bottle) as a little bit goes a long way. Also its great to remove dark eye makeup that didn't come off in the shower and to fix up liquid eye liner mistakes.

Pantene Moisture Renewal Deep Hair Conditioner
Again a fairly decent product, I think there are better deep hair conditioners on the market but again it does the job. But for someone who has thick hair, it wont last very long. I used it every once or twice every 1-2 weeks. I feel it took a while to seal up and repair my split ends but I suppose they all do.

I am extremely sad that my favourite liquid eye liner by Loréal Super Liner in Black has come to an end. This liquid liner will give you ultimate precision and once you get the hang of it, you will be drawing perfect symmetrical winged eyeliner! ahah
BIG thumbs up to this eyeliner and a definite re-purchase.

Last is the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream.
A bit of a love hate relationship with this product, although it smells fairly fresh and floral as well as providing good coverage for a BB Cream (for those of you who haven't a clue what a BB Cream is it provides more coverage than a tinted moisturiser but less coverage then a light coverage foundation) The massive down side to this is that it tends to break me and others out like hell. Although it may be suited for more of a mature skin as my mum uses it and has no problemo ! But unfortunately I wont be re-purchasing this product anytime soon.

I hope you enjoyed this post
Bye for now x

Lusting over Lush

So I've been watching a lot hauls from beauty gurus on youtube lately and they all seem to feature Lush products. Video after video I began to realise that I really want to try out this particular bath ballistic called 'Golden Wonder' - I suppose thats the idea of haul videos, to show the viewer items that might tickle their fancy and encourage them to purchase it themselves- ANYWAY, the other day I found myself in the city, AGAIN and popped into the Lush store to see the goodies they had. After a good look around I found myself lusting over soaps and bath bombs which is strange because I usually go in lush whenever I am in the city and smell all the soaps and what not but never wanted to purchase anything, at one stage all the products wanted to make me gag but I guess they grew on me? Now I just want to own so much more in the Lush store, but here is what I brought from Lush, from left to right - Green Bubbleroon (which I revived for free), North Pole Soap, Golden Wonder Ballistic, Angel's Delight Soap and Popcorn Lip Scrub.

Total cost $33.65
I think the main reason why I didn't purchase from Lush earlier on is because when you walk into the store the smell can be a bit overwhelming and the same with the prices.
Also I find some of the products look a bit intimidating in the sense that I have no idea what the product would be used for but thats what the staff are there for. I'm sure they'd be more than delighted to offer assistance. Also I have realised that the products that I purchased are all from the christmas range, so thats a bit disappointing considering that they aren't available all year round.
Bye for now !

A day in the city

So, the other day my friend and I caught the train to the city to simply browse and having no intention of breaking the bank. Now I think it is safe to say that we gave our purse's a good exercise. So, heres a few photos of our day in pictures.

Havin' a good read with the lush times- The only thing I ever read

Cheeky purchases from Kit and Mac
Mac lipstick in Morange, Mac Fix +, bareMinerals Original Foundation, Soap&Glory The Righteous Butter and Origins Super Spot Remover.

Just a little side note- I'm in love with the glass lipsticks, that I guess you could use as a paper weight :)

Never to early for christmas?!?! the decorations in David Jones are beautiful, I feel like I'm back at Selfridges

Sorry that this post was a short one but I promise a bigger, better one next time
Bye for now x

Sleek makeUP

So I believe Sleek came out with a newish collection called 'Shangri-la' and for those of you who don't know, Sleek is a british makeup brand that sell some amazing products that wont break the bank. From the swatches above you can see how highly pigmented the shadows are in the 'Respect' palette and in the Matte Lip Gloss 'Jazz'. The matte lip gloss truly feels like velvet once it has dried on your lips but as for staying power, it  isn't that strong as throughout the day it rubs off and goes all 'bitty' which is a bit unfortunate.
As for the eye shadow, this palette has staple colours that can create a smokey eye, a nude eye and a fun, pop of colour eye.
I believe there was a barbie pink Matte Lip Gloss called 'Soul' and a matching set palette called 'Supreme' which looks as though it is designed for fair-light skin tones and 'Respect' and 'Jazz' are more for medium-dark skin tones.

Overall I think these products are amazing and for the packaging well.. its sleek, sorry that was corny wasnt it. BUT if you have the chance to get your hands on them, well I consider you lucky!
Bye for now :)

Favourites of the moment

Hi everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite things in life I guess you could say. So lets get started!

Favourite Hair product/tool
It's the classic hair 'donut'. I have heard many say they use a sock to achieve this particular hair style but I personally wouldn't use a sock in my hair and I find using this 'donut' perfectly fine. Ever since wearing this hair style I have received numerous amounts of compliments and have realised this is the perfect school hair style for me as I am not a morning person and have limited time to do my hair. Using this donut bun is fast, easy and the end result looks like a 20 minute hair style, when the truth is it has taken you 5 minutes. I cannot express how crucial it is in my morning routine. Why not try it for yourself, you can pick these 'donuts' up for really inexpensive, practically anywhere.

Favourite Beverage
So lately I have been avoiding coffee since it doesn't really benefit anyone in any shape or form besides 'waking you up'. I personally don't think it's worth getting stained teeth over. So I have been on the search to find a better hot beverage and since I enjoy a good cuppa tea, I decided to find a tea I love to replace my afternoon cappuccinos. Yorkshire Tea has been my absolute favourite for months now and it defiantly hits the spot.

Favourite Makeup product
Since I need concealer in my life I was overly excited when I had my hands on the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I'd admit that it was an impluse buy since I have only heard youtube beauty gurus rave about this product and I can genuinely see why this product is the ultimate. It conceals the darkest of circles and is cheap as chips retailing for 5 pounds.

That will be all for now xx
